Cali Williams Yost
CEO and Founder of Flex+Strategy Group & Work+Life Fit Inc.

Called “one of the smartest, sophisticated thinkers” by the New York Times and one of Mashable’s Top 14 Career Experts on Twitter, Cali Williams Yost has been a pioneering expert on managing work and life in the new economy for nearly two decades. As an in-demand consultant, speaker and CEO of the Flex+Strategy Group/Work+Life Fit, Inc., Cali has shown hundreds of organizations like BDO USA, Novo Nordisk and the United Nations, and tens of thousands of individuals how to partner for award-winning flexible work success.   

A former commercial banker and graduate of Columbia Business School, Cali is a crusader for the many ways businesses and employees benefit from a coordinated, strategic approach to work flexibility (e.g. telework, flexible hours, reduced hours, etc.). This includes improved employee engagement, innovation, cost containment, talent management to global client service sustainability and disaster preparedness. Prior to founding Flex+Strategy Group/Work+Fit, Inc. Cali held senior consulting roles with the Families and Work Institute and Bright Horizons Family Solutions, two of the field’s leading organizations.

Cali is the author of the critically acclaimed Work+Life: Finding the Fit That’s Right for You. The first ever work+life “fit” handbook that shows individuals how to change the way they work in response to major life transitions. Since 2007, she has been an expert blogger for FastCompany.com, and every year from 2010-2012, Cali’s Work+Life Fit blog has been voted one of the Top 100 Websites for Women by Forbes.com. Her unique, often contrarian perspective on work and life in a modern, hectic world has been praised in numerous national media outlets.  

Cali’s second book, Tweak It: Make What Matters to You Happen Every Day, will be released in January 2013 (Center Street/Hachette).

Yost lives in New Jersey with her husband and two daughters.

Linda Cannilla
Program Design Specialist

Linda joined our group two years ago in the role of Program Design Specialist. She works with clients who are initiating, implementing or integrating workplace flexibility changes by customizing our products and services with a plan to meet our clients' unique needs.

Prior to joining the Flex+Strategy Group, Linda was a Learning and Development specialist with both Bloomingdales and Saks Fifth Avenue where she developed and implemented organizational change programs to improve customer satisfaction and the utilization of new CRM systems. Linda has an MBA in HR Management from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a BSBA in Management from Bucknell University.

Donna Miller
Strategy Consulting Partner

Donna Miller has over fifteen years experience in the field of organizational learning and development. She specializes in change management and strategic planning with an emphasis on the leadership mindsets, skills, and knowledge necessary to those processes.Her work allows her to coach and consult with leaders and teams and create custom-designed solutions within organizations to facilitate culture change, enhance productivity, and improve employee retention and satisfaction.

Prior to consulting, Donna led training and development at Banana Republic and worked in Gap, Inc.’s Human Resource and Development department.

Joanne Spigner
Strategy Consulting Partner

Joanne Spigner is a principal of VisionFirst, a firm that helps individuals, teams and organizations lead strategic change by building shared vision, creating alignment and innovating. In addition to her extensive consulting experience, Joanne’s corporate background includes executive positions as managing director of leveraged finance, credit training director and vice president of work+life strategy at Prudential Financial. She earned a BA from Colgate University and an MBA from NYU Stern. She is a Colgate trustee, past president of Colgate’s alumni association, and a founding board member of the Madison Education Foundation. For over two years, Joanne and her VisionFirst partner Janice Maffei hosted Invent the Future, a weekly radio talk show on innovation and leadership broadcast on VoiceAmerica.com. Joanne and Janice have published articles for Innovation Excellence, served as judges at the Innovation Challenge global MBA competition, and volunteered as facilitators at the inaugural Clinton Global Initiative.

Janice Maffei
Strategy Consulting Partner

Janice Maffei is a principal of VisionFirst, a firm that helps individuals, teams and organizations lead strategic change by building shared vision, creating alignment and innovating. In addition to her extensive consulting experience, Janice worked in sales, sales management and training for a Fortune 100 company.  She has served on the boards of several charitable organizations including the Red Cross and 12 Miles West Theatre. An award winning playwright, she is a member of the Dramatists Guild and helped facilitate its Women’s Initiative. A graduate of Chestnut Hill College, Janice is a candidate for an MFA in Theatre at Stony Brook University. For over two years, Janice and her VisionFirst partner Joanne Spigner hosted Invent the Future, a weekly radio talk show on innovation and leadership broadcast on VoiceAmerica.com. Janice and Joanne have published articles for Innovation Excellence, served as judges at the Innovation Challenge global MBA competition, and volunteered as facilitators at the inaugural Clinton Global Initiative.

Lauren W. Fosbenner
Workplace Learning and Performance Consultant

Lauren W. Fosbenner is the founder and principal consultant at Workplace Learning and Performance, LLC. With over a decade of hands-on instructional design and performance improvement experience, she has personally helped organizations across a variety of industries improve productivity and efficiency by designing, developing, and implementing comprehensive, performance-based instructional strategies.

Prior to founding Workplace Learning and Performance, Lauren developed her passion for training and performance consulting at companies such as Loughner and Associates, the Vanguard Group, and Merrill Lynch. She holds a Master of Education in Instructional Systems from the Pennsylvania State University and a B.A. in International Relations from Bucknell University.
